Disassembly of GIS and GIL plants filled with SF6 gas

Evacuation of SF6 gas from a gas insulated switchgear (GIS)

The SF6 gas as well as the GIS/GIL plants are recycled entirely

We have plenty experience with the disassembly of gas insulated switchgear (GIS) filled with SF6 gas and gas insulated pipes filled with SF6 gas from switching plants and underground hydroelectric power stations.

Since we own various evacuation units and many 600 liter tanks, we are able to efficiently evacuate several tons of SF6 gas and disassemble the associated plants. The gained SF6 gas is treated by the requirements of EU guideline 2024/573 and is then used instead of new gas. You are able to take back your own treated SF6 gas if you have a demand for it.

Since the space is usually strongly limited with GIS plants and the disassembly has to take place in close proximity to active construction sites, we separate our disassembly site from the active plant segments to ensure undisturbed operations for the rest of the plant.
