Treated SF6 gas with the quality of new gas
The recycling of SF6 gas reduces your CO2 footprint
The SF6 gas we capture is treated in a SF6 gas treatment plant. The condensable decomposition products are separated from the used SF6 gas through filtering units and non-condensable gases are separated by cryogenic separation processes. The complete process takes place in a closed system, completely sealed and emission free.
Depending on the customers requirements, the obtained gas can be purified up to a quality that exceeds the requirements of ICE 60480 for used gas for reusing. By treating the SF6 gas multiple times, the purity can also exceed the requirements of ICE 60376 for new gas.
The quality of the treated gas is analyzed via gas chromatography and the results are documented transparently.
The reuse of your used and treated SF6 gas is the perfect material cycle, as known by many other materials for a long time. This form of direct recycling only splits and disposes of the small, harmful part of pollution in the SF6 gas. This way the bigger part of the gas does not need to be destroyed by highly energy-intensive processes and can instead be reused. On top of that, there are no new emissions produced, that inevitably arise with the production of new SF6 gas.
